The WBUR Anniversary Bash: 75 Years of Life Out Loud celebrates 75 years of local journalism in Boston and those who have made it possible. A capstone dinner celebration and program within The WBUR Festival weekend, the Anniversary Bash will raise critical funds to support WBUR throughout the year.
The WBUR Medal of Honor will be presented to William and Lia Poorvu and Howard and Fredericka Stevenson in recognition of their service and leadership in public media
This year’s program will include a conversation with Nobel laureate and economist Paul Krugman and a performance by Tony and Grammy Award-winning vocalist and actor Leslie Odom, Jr.

Paul Krugman is a Nobel Prize-winning economist. He was a columnist for The New York Times for nearly 25 years, writing about the intersection of economics and government. He now writes a popular newsletter on Substack.
